The images below are of limited editions prints by Elaine Estern. Offset lithography requires the use of a screen to show the image and it is recognized by a dot pattern. Fine art printing uses ultra fine screens that require magnification in order to be seen. The fineness of the screen causes the painted image to become more detailed and sharper. For example, a newspaper uses an 80- line screen (or 80 dots per linear inch) which prints a large dot pattern, while high quality fine art printing uses a 200- line screen. In my fine art prints, there are actually over 265 dots per inch. All lithos may be dedicated to you at no extra charge.
